DTAS Related Training

DTAS offers a variety of training options for new or existing assessors, anyone wishing to gain a good and effective understanding of the DTAS Standards and/or milk tanker drivers.  These are summarised below and more comprehensive information (including overviews of the courses, frequency and location, the target audience and contact details) can be viewed/downloaded here.

  •  DTAS Assessor and Internal Auditor Course - a two-day course for any suitably qualified person wishing to become a DTAS assessor or existing assessors who want to refresh their expertise.  This is also now available for anyone designated to manage DTAS compliance or undertake self-audits.

  • DTAS Assessor CPD - a one-day course that any DTAS approved assessor carrying out two or more assessments a year is required to attend every year or, if they undertake only one assessment per year, they are required to attend at least once every two years.

  • DTAS Awareness Course (Milk Transport) - a one-day course for people who wish to gain a good and effective understanding of the DTAS Standards, but do not (necessarily) wish to become assessors.

  • DTAS Awareness Course (Non Milk Transport) - bespoke training course consisting of an introduction to DTAS Standards, as well as practical elements, with focus on the needs of an individual company.

  • Driver Training - a one-day JAUPT approved Driver CPC training course with focus on "Milk Collection and DTAS Awareness for Drivers".

DTAS Awareness Courses:

We are pleased to announce that two additional Awareness Courses have been scheduled at Gregory Distribution, North Tawton, Devon on September 26th and SJ Bargh, Lancaster on October 9th. Places are also still available on the course being held at Gregory Distribution, North Tawton on 9th July.

The Awareness courses are for people who wish to gain a good and effective understanding of the DTAS Standards, but do not (necessarily) wish to become assessors.

They have been developed for Managers, Supervisors and new personnel of hauliers and milk purchasers to improve their knowledge of the Standards, and how they need to be applied within their organisation.

They cover all the DTAS Standards, focusing on what is required to comply with them, and also includes a practical element.

Further details about the Awareness Courses can be seen here.  or by contacting Paul Charlton - Charlton Agricultural Solutions  Paul.charlton@casolutions.org.uk  Phone: 07742 410742.
